Artificial Intelligence Lab
Over the past ten years, Collibra has been committed to academic research and its application in industry. As a spin-off from the Laboratory for Semantic Technology and Applications Research (STARLab) at the VUB university in Brussels, this commitment continues today.
These short videos will introduce you to the joint research concepts being explored today by Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Collibra Research. The research examines how people collaborate with team members while using data governance systems and systems of engagement, such as Slack. The ultimate goal of this project is to engage artificial intelligence and integrate the Data Governance Center of Collibra into the systems of engagement, and allowing users to communicate with this platform using natural language processing. In the example being demonstrated, the Slack user will interact with the Chat bot to discuss sales data sets and various findings in the report. All of the information provided is accessed from the DGC, but presented in Slack, allowing the user quick, informal access to gather necessary information.
In addition, developing the algorithms and technology to create a shared language between humans and robots is also explored. In our example, robots play language games with the goal to communicate about objects they see in the world. They invent their own language to describe the objects they see and mimic learning like a child, trying to gain as much information as possible with every interaction.
