About this Course

Approximate Time to Completion: .5 hour

Instructor: George Cheung, Solutions Engineer

Course Objectives:

  • Change logo and favicon
  • Create new color scheme in DGC
  • Modify access to module properties

In this course, we will focus on customizing the look and feel of the DGC to support customers’ branding requirements and preferences. We’ll begin by replacing the Collibra logo in the DGC with a custom logo. We’ll also change the favicon that appears on the browser tab. The default color scheme typically seen in the DGC can be modified through the use of CSS overrides. Using these approaches, the DGC can be modified to support your company branding.

We will go over how to add the module properties override. For instance, viewing permissions can be adjusted for certain roles, such as sysadmin. In our example, we will reveal/hide the history tab based on user role. We will also edit the module properties to edit the OOTB setting for user roles. The user roles can be changed to accommodate the role structure and titles at different companies.
